Default k&n fipk compatibility question

I bought a used k&n fipk from a member on here he had told me this was the 57 series and it would work for a 2003. I get it in the mail and it says its for 2005-2006 2.2L s2000 63-3514. Whats the differences between the two? Do I just need to sell this and get another one?

I would check the install instructions, I thought on the 06-07 you drilled an extra hole, plugged one, or something in between. Here are the links so you can compare:

It's the same. The only difference is that you need to drill a hole for the 06+ model years

The only difference is the need to drill a hole for the oxygen sensor but thats only if you want to install it on a 06+

see i think that the person before me drilled the hole cause they had 06 or 07 model. will i be totally replacing the hard lines with the hoses supplied from k&n that comes with the intake? also, when i pull the hose off closest to the radiator off the stock intake elbow do i need to pull out the gold sensor also or am i just going to connect that hose to the k&n intake elbow?

if the person before you drilled a hole, you don't want it for your 03.
