hey folks,
listen... this forum is REALLY helpful for a lot of us. i mean, it'll NEVER be a mechanic (amateur or professional). i value the opinions of all the experts here (Luis, Rev, Cthree, etc.).
please don't let bad communication and hurt feelings screw this up.
it's WAY to easy to say things in email or bulletin boards that you'd never say face to face - and things escalate into personal flame wars REALLY fast.
given this, and the importance to a lot of us of this forum and your involvement i have some humble suggestions:
1 - apologize to eachother. it's cheap, it's easy and it tends to fix things. and everyone here has said things that you're probably regretting or are gonna regret.
2 - get over it. seriously, it's just a web site. if people apologize to eachother then they need to follow this up by being adults and moving on.
3 - in the future, before you 'flame on' i'd suggest walking away, calming down, and thinking things through.
4 - handle disagreements using email, PM, IM or even the phone. do you really want all of us hearing all this?
this should (in theory) allow all of you to continue your involvement, moderation, etc.
please... do it for us, the little people, the ignorant people.
thanks,
-c

Actually, unless you want to realign you disk cache or bore out your packet buffer, I'm no expert. I'm a geek and not a car one. I like to learn though
