Just a quick ? before I go ahead with diff fluid change
Im pretty sure that I have the right bolts, but I wanted to double check. I take it the diff drain plug is the large bolt right on the bottom of the diff, and the fill hole is the other large bolt located a couple inches above the bottom of the diff? (Sorry, best way I can think of describing it... its about the sme distance from the drain hole as the tranny fill to drain hole is.)
lol, sorry for the ignorance, and yes I will be purchasing a shop manual soon
Thanks!
btw Im giving the redline 75W90 a shot

YOU GO BOI!
you got it right
-drain the fluid from the bolt under the diff housing
-put the drain bolt back
-Fill the diff until the fluid starts to overflow out the fill hole.
Peace

The Redline 75W90 is what I put in my diff about 7K miles ago and it still feels great. BTW, don't be too surprised if you see quite a bit of metal on the magnetic drain plug and some metal 'sheen' to the oil in the drain pan, if this is the first time you've changed the fluid. New ring and pinions do sluff off an amazing amount of metal when breaking in.
