Just a question
I already posted about my 03 burning about a quart of oil /1,300 miles, and I cannot come to terms with it. I checked the compression several times, and it reads 230 across; a leak-down test was also performed, and it was fine - Not the best though: 5%, and 7% on #3. So being paranoid about it, I read about s2000 engines having scored cylinder walls, without necessarily showing low compression. Is that true? How else could you tell?
Also, beside the obvious valvetrain failure, what can cause cylinder wall scoring?

i'd be interested to know as well.
have you tried krank vents? i used krank vents and went from 1 quart per 2,000 miles to 1 quart per 6,000 miles. a HUGE improvement.
i currently removed the krank vents and am trying an ap2 valve cover to see how that goes.

It's not paranoia when he's watched the oil level drop a quart over ~1300 miles. That oil is going somewhere...
