my s2k seems to warmup too fast. it takes less than 2 mins to go from 1 bar to 2 (idleling). it takes me less than 5 mins of driving to get my car to fully warmup. is it due to the weather or is this normal for the s2k? btw, i dont go past 2.5 or 3k rpm unless my car is fully warmed up, so its not due to excessive revving of the engine.
oil level is normal.

The S2000 has an air pump that helps warm up the cat quickly. This is part of the reason the S2000 conforms to LEV specs. This is quite normal.
My 99 will have 3 bars on the temp gauge (ie normal operating temp) within approx 3 kms (2 miles?), therefore 5 mins of driving seems consistant with this.

Sounds normal to me. I actually think it warms up too slow. At autoX's I don't like to leave the line until I have three bars. so I try to time my starting of the engine so that I will have three bars before I get to the starting line. I run so little fuel in the car on race day that I don't want to leave it running while I wait in line. I would hate to run out of fuel during the autoX or on the drive to the station afterwards.
