Thanks for the info I'm just about to start my installation the kit should arrive to-morrow.

Do I need to "Teflon tape" all the threaded connections in the kit?

Is there any specific type of tape or is it all the same thickness etc?

In my case the leaks literally covered my crossmember. Getting all the way back to the rear part of the car because of the wind when you drive.

Every single threaded fitting needs teflon even if its a flared end. Actually I had Vortech send me another 90 degree swivel and the matching end to try it but i think it will be the same.

Teflon tape is all the same you can get different thickness but no need, just make sure you dont touch the first 2 threads, this will prevent the teflon from going inside and making friends with the oil (or enemies for this matter)

Do as HardtuTame suggests but I'd even teflon the fittings that aren't flared - anything that carries oil through it. Stretch the tape on as you wind it and do several layers. Wind it on in the direction of how you turn the fitting to screw it IN.

Grrr...no problems with mine (knock on wood) and like a dork, I followed the instruction manual word for word. No teflon tape used here, but no leaks either....I guess I should expect them, eh?
1150 miles on the Vortech so far....

I never got the first leak until about 4000 - 5000 miles later. You may be lucky.
