Don't over oil the filter is a good tip.

The airbox can be a pain to fit properly, and the lid will rub the hood. Line the inside of the hood with foam tape to keep the lid scratches to a minimum.
does the comptech supercharger use the same type of foam filter for their air intake?

Check Engine light is on because you probably installed the one way valve wrong on the vacuum lines. That is the little white valve/plug inline on one of the vacuum lines. If it is installed in the wrong direction it will cause a CEL

you messed up on the vaccuum lines somewhere...

my advice is to get hood dampers and remove the stock hood prop because it doesn't fit right with the lid anyway...

There's a wiring harness that sits above the stock rear airbox mount on the passenger side.

Move it UNDER the mounting tab, the box will fit 100% better.

Also make sure you re-connected the wiring harness on the lower solenoid. I quadruple checked my vacuum lines when I had the CEL, but didn't notice the wiring harness dangling down at the bottom of the engine bay -

Also, you might want to consider removing the foam insulation on the A/C line directly below the airbox. It will lower the entire airbox about 1/4" and greatly reduce the vibrations that this intake tends to create when slightly bogging the engine, and reduces rubbing the CF lid on the underside of the hood. I just made this adjustment over the weekend and it completely took the vibrations away.

I installed the Comptech Ice box last weekend. Since, have driven 400+ miles without a problem. All lines are secure and where they should be, nothing leaking, valve in the correct direction.

Last night the CEL lit up on me, the first time in over 2 years and 17,000 miles! Its not flashing, it just comes on and stays on. I removed the "back-up" fuse for a minute and then restarted the car. Same thing, light came on and stayed on. I haven't noticed any wierd noises or vibrations, nor any problems with performance.

What could it be? What should I do? How can I reset the CEL without resetting the ECU? Do I need to reset the ECU? Should I find out the code first?

What do you think xviper? billman?

Pull the code first. Go to your local Autozone/Kragen and borrow an ODBII for free. Get the code and post it here.

Did you check your electrical connection on the lower solenoid? Easy to miss/forget to reinstall it.

Unless you know that you caused the CEL (by accidentally pulling off a wiring harness), you should always get the code, fix the problem, then reset. Once you clear the CEL, the code is gone till the light comes back. Now that it's back, get the code a post it up here if you don't have access to a code sheet.
