Default just finished my first "map sensor whack"

so my S started hesitating when i would go full throttle in any gear. i searched the forum for "hesitation" and came up with a bunch of threads about lightly hitting the map sensor and then resetting the ECU to get rid of the hesitation. well, i performed the map whack, reset the ecu and the car is pulling significantly stronger now. no hesitation whatsoever. so anyone considering doing it or who is having hesitation problems, try it out. it only took me 4-5 mins. and the only reason it took that long is because i had a slightly difficult time fitting my hands in the area where the fuse for the ECU reset is.

now my question is: chances are this is gonna come back and im gonna have to whack it again right? would getting a new map sensor fix this or what? i couldnt find a clear answer when i was searching. thanks

i think the real problem is not the actual map sensor it self, but the connection to the map, next time just try disconnecting the connector and replacing it,

honda has a fix, and it is a zip tie around the connector..... along with a new sensor.

If it comes back, it might be dirty fuel injectors or throttle bodies.

And pull the ECU fuse with the little white fuse tweezers. Much easier that way.
