just DYNO'd my car in HOT weather
it was 94 degree outside
Type of dyno: Dynojet
should've gone in rainy day or cooler day.
my HP mods are AEM CAI and Buddy Club catback.
i guess heat really makes difference...
i only got 195.4 at the wheel and 136.4 tq
my base dyno when my car was stock: 203 in cooler weather.
it wasn't only me....
my friend with his 350(ingen CAI, T1R testpipe, ingen full catback, pully) only got 235hp@ the wheel
other friend of mine with RSX(CAI,pully, header, catback exhaust) only got 172hp@ the wheel...
so how much hp did i lose due to the heat? what will happend on colder days?
dyno experts..... i need help~~

Your heat soak doesn't appear to be nearly as bad as mine. Here's a comparison of my dyno vs a dyno where my engine was fully heat soaked:
The air fuel ratios tell a big part of the story, but I suspect the ECU was also pulling a lot of timing in my case. I think ambient air temps were in the high 90s on my second dyno, but my intake manifold temp had probably been heat soaked well into the 120s-140s. Maybe higher.

Air at 94F is only 93.7% as dense as air at 59F (at the same pressure). The engine is basically a big air pump, and it can't pull as much when the air is less dense. For a first cut, I'd say just apply that 94% factor (which would give you something like 208 HP). But that's a really rough guess.

BTW... most dynos have built in correction factors to correct for atmospheric changes (ambient temp, air pressure, humidity). However, the dyno can't account for any changes that the ECU makes (running richer than normal or pulling timing).

Here in FL we had the same issue over the weekend. Had a dyno day and most where ranging from 186-196 whp and last time people said there #'s were higher.
Looks to be consistent.

I had heatsoak issues with my dyno run too not too long ago. Dudes didn't even run a fan in front of the car...
201hp & like 137trq. Temps were well into the mid 90's, car was running on freeway for more than 1 hr to get there. Despite the time on teh dyno sheet saying its AM, it took place at like 2pm.
I'm planning on running it in winter! lol
