just did CDV removal...
I love how it feels now, it's like getting a whole new clutch but for $20 and a couple of hours. It grabs immediately without hesitation now. My question is that should my pedal feel lighter? I noticed it catches about half way up now rather than near the top like before which i expected and is normal. It works 100% and the fluid is right under max and i did everything exactly how described in the DIY here.

The clutch engages fine, I read a lot of people had the clutch engaging lower than before. There is pressure too but just not as stiff as it was(maybe about 30% less). I bled it probably ten times, how many should it take? It had a steady flow of fluid coming out for the final step also so im sure there no air in there. Basically it feels 100% right just the fact that it is about 30% lighter than before has me asking questions. About the bleeding again can i still use the bottle of fluid i used today, tomorrow?-thanks

Yes, don't wait too long because it will absorb moisture from the air.
Perhaps with the valve removed it has allowed for the movement of fluid to be less restrictive, therefore easier to pump

Upon further driving, I noticed that it is only until the catching point that the clutch feels lighter. The catching point and the rest of the way down actually feels just about the same stiffness as it was before. Does this sound right? or should i still bleed it again?-thanks

I removed the CDV in my car and my clutch felt light at first. I kept re-bleeding and it eventually felt like before the removal again.
You need to keep bleeding.

Not very long, your reservoir may run empty.
Gravity clutch bleed works
While under the car remove slave from trans and point rear of slave upwards, that way ALL air gets pushed out.
Use grease on fork and ball-pointed push rod too.

I did a few CDV removals in a tech day a few months back. There should be no difference in pedal feel if bled properly. I let mine gravity bleed (steady stream) for about 10-15 minutes to flush out any big bubbles followed by 10-15 repititions of pumping and bleeding. Idea is you want to get about 10 or so rapid FULL pumps, then hold the pedal to the floor, and have someone open the bleeder valve and close it immediatly after the stream stops. Each time you open the bleeder valve you should hear a pop and bubbling noise... once you stop hearing this then your pretty much done.
