Just changed oil, dipstick registering low?

5 quarts? thats all? It takes me like 15 to fill it up to the oil cap.

I usually just like to fill it a little bit over so I fill it with 7 quarts. I always feel safer with more oil then less oil.

You got me. The oil companies are secretly giving the consumer more oil and not charging us.

i already know who slows2k is, thanks.

that doesn't change the fact that 5.0 quarts put me over the 'H' and nothing slows2k says will change that occurrence. i'm sure on future oil changes it will take me 5.5 to 6.0 quarts like it usually does...

5.0 puts me half way, every time, with a filter change and a one hour drain period. I also jack up the car at an angle to get extra drops out. I can't see 5.0 putting it above the H though, thats redonkulous.

this only happened once.

usually takes me 5.5 quarts...
