Default Just Bought An S2000. What Next?

Hi, I bought a MY2000, approaching 120k miles, not too long ago and I would like to know what particular maintenance work I should do.
I'm going to change the oil and spark plugs this weekend.
Change my transmission fluid and hopefully it will help with my notchy gearbox.
I've heard nothing but great things for the gearbox but mine feels terrible on 2nd gear and reverse.

I'm also looking into a valve adjustment.
What other preventative maintenance can I do?
Can anyone recommend a good mechanic near So-Cal Irvine?

Go to ballade sports in garden grove and talk to alex (owner) he'll point you in the right direction. Not that far from irvine! Notchy gearbox is somewhat common on these cars. You can try adjusting the clutch for any free play, it might help.

Oil, trans, diff, and clutch fluid changed. Valve adjustment. Spark plugs. Check the tires make sure they are good. Check the coolant and maybe change that. Uhhhhh. Not sure what else.

Brake pads, rotors and stainless lines are probably something to look at as well.

I would change differential fluid, brake fluid and clutch fluid as well to start fresh with all the fluids. There is a good diy for valve adjustment. I recently adjusted them myself for the first time. It took little longer but had fun doing it.

You can pretty much find all the help you need for basic maintenances on this forum. There are many helpful owners. If you like working on cars, diy it.

There is a comprehensive thread that covers this exact topic, search 'new owners'. This thread covers EVERYTHING.

Also, I would be wary of going to Ballade. There have been some recent threads about that shop using very aggressive upsell techniques and scare tactics telling people they need very expensive repairs, that the strong opinion of many experts on the forum is are not needed.

I have no personal experience, just reiterating what I've observed. I am not saying not to go to this shop, just be aware of their upsell reputation on this forum.

Change ALL the fluids, buy summer tires and take it to the track!
