I am going to attempt this without buying any extra parts (ducks) but that might change since this is my first time messing with a ring and pinion swap.
Do yourself a huge favor and get a new crush sleeve, a new locking nut and replace the pinion & output shaft seals.
Not that expensive.

if you reinstall them into another diff they have to be broken in again...
The heat cycle can only be done once

everytime you remove them they have to be meshed correctly...and they need to go through a brake in process...


No diff housing is exactly the same.
Expect some extra gear noise.
It may take a LONG & whiny time for the gears to wear-in on eachother.

yea they fit. The 4.77 gear that i purchased a long time ago was directly from a kia dealership (was cheap back then, dont know now though..)

Anyone got any pics of what the "Comptech" setup actually is? There is a chance I could get something similar (if not the same) made for a way cheaper price. I know they use stronger bolts, might have to talk to ARP about getting some made.
