Default jumped a curb in the rain last night

gf pissed me off last night so i sort of took it out on the car and applied a little too much throttle in a turn while its raining hard, spun out and went over the center median, the median is about maybe 4 inches with a slight incline/decline, not like those curb with the 90 degree edge if you know what i mean

it happened so fast i dont remember what angle i hit the curb at but i ended up with the nose of my car going the opposite direction of where i was traveling on the other side of the road, and the car is 45 degree to the median with the tail of my car closer to the curb, i remember hearing a clunk when i went over the curb...im thinking its the shocks bottoming out, i drove home and everything seems to be ok, allignment doesnt seems to be off, good thing it was one of those incline curb and not the sharp 90 degree edge curb because it couldve been worse

i have not jacked the car up to inspect the suspension but will do that tomorrow, what sort of damage should i be looking for? since it drives fine...do you guys think i lucked out and not bent anything?

you probabaly wiped out one of those funny little hard plastic mudflaps positioned at the forward end, bottom of the front wheel arch. i did that to mine clipping a ripple strip during a "hard breaking manoeuvre" into a hairpin!!!

i would say jack the car up, get it on some stands and get under and check it out!

Yeah, that's what I'd do too.

Did you hit with your tires hard too? I did the same thing a bit ago in the rain and now have a bit of a "hop" in the tire that is only noticable when balancing the tire on a balance machine.

Just eliminate the stress = GF...

if there is damage, you probably won't be able to see it. a slightly tweaked A-arm, tie rod, etc will probably not be visible to the naked eye. Take a peek around anyway then get an alignment. if everything lines up fine, you're probably in the clear.

I lost control of my S for the 1st time the other night too.. but of course I hit vtec in 3rd gear on a wet road it was 4 lane though and I easily corrected it without smashing anything

^^
Hah

i did the same thing getting on the freeway a couple months ago. i was a bit aggressive getting on the ramp in the wet and kinda tossed the back end out to the left then to the right. I managed to save it, but had to toss out the pair of boxers i had on at the time.
