J's racing intake VS Mugen intake:
I have been suggested to check out the J's racing copy of the mugen intake, where I was going to be purchasing a Mugen soon. Money is no object, and I like mugen products, but I have heard that the J's is superior. I would like to hear different opinions, as I know this is an opinion based topic.
Thanks!

j's is cheaper and more bling and i don't know the weight. like you said the design is the same as the mugen, except is all cf.
as for the mugen it is 4 pounds lighter and is nice aswell.
can't gor wrong with either one.
as for performance #'s, i would assume they are the same

The sausage intake is better for low to mid-range throttle response, but mid-top end power is better with the Mugen.
That said, the difference is extremely small. Go with the one you like better.

Yes the Mugen is made to fit into the hole on the SS bumper or you can buy the inlet from Alex racing and punch a hole in your bumper. The J's comes down behind the front grill.

There actually are 3 versions of the Mugen intake. the short one is the SS version, made to fit the SS bumper. Then there are two versions of the mugen intake intended for the stock bumper: the original was long like the J's, the second version is a little shorter, but is still found to produce positive intake pressure at speed, with no power loss. The idea behind the second one is to reduce the chances of hydrolock.
