JIC coilovers............Second impressions
Now that I have put some miles on this suspension, here are my opinions. First of all, my experience so far is strickly on the street. No track events yet (Sebring coming up Jan. 11th). I have been totally impressed by this suspension in every way! The ride qualiy on the street is very livable (I have set them anywhere from 2 turns to currently 6 turns). With help from some of the members I found out how easy it is to set the ride height. I have the front lowered 1" and the rear is lowered 7/8". (It has 1/8" more rake than stock)
I would have to say the best part of the suspension is how well the rear end is settled during less than fully smooth corners. On my drive to and from work there is a set of s curves that were very brutal to the stock suspension. One of the s curves has a dip in it and would unsettle the stock suspension badly. I would not test the car in the corner at all! Now with the JIC's I can get more agressive in these corners and the rear end behaves quite nicely! The suspension quickly compensates for mid corner bumps, and gives me great confidence in the car. I am currently running stock wheels and S02's, but have 17" CN28's ordered. I am thinking of running either 17" Michelin pilot sports or Toyo proxies T1S tires soon.

Which spring rates are you using? I recently talked to another owner who is running them (and likes them very much) and he is running 8kg/mm and 9kg/mm front/rear.

My impressions of the JIC units are mixed. My car is fine on smooth roads but not as good as I would like on the rough roads around my house. If anything I find the bump steer problem worse when cold rather than better.
I have had the stock units, and Koni

I live in Tampa, Florida and there is no cold weather to worry about. I have not felt any difference in dampening because the temp. here does not change very much. it has not been under 60 degrees here this season.

I am strongly thinking about coilover, if the place I live have no lower than 60 degree and will be as hot as 105 degree in the summer. will JIC suspension be a good choice of mine?
