CMiS2K, my set up is exactly what they are selling. 7k front and 8k rear.

You obviously dont know me or the way i run my business. I would never ever support a product that I didnt believe in and woudlnt put on my own car. I wish i knew what was diffirent, if anything, about the way my car is set up and the way you had your s set up. As i said, i already have more than 10,000 miles on them and have never once experienced any of the sounds you have mentioned. While i havnt done any river jumping or Dukes of Hazard moves, i have put the car through its paces on the street and the track more than a few times. Again, i dont know if my car was set up a different way, but i do know what my spring rates are.

One thing I do plan on doing in the next week or so is getting my car back up on the rack and seeing exactly what is going on. I m really curious to know how and why my car is not experiencing any of these symptoms. I also will measure the height of the rear end as well. Many have PM'd me asking me about the height of my car so maybe that may be an indicator. I ll let you know when i do.

Slick Rick and Docofmind, have either of you looked to see how much damper travel you have before the bumpstops hit? It isn't hard to shine a flash light up through the wheels to look (while the car is parked on the ground).

One data point:

From the top of the Honda modulo rear shock body to the bump stop: 8.7 cms (that's close to 3.5 inches). Spring is 6.8kg/mm. And that's with a bit of preload, enough to firmly hold the spring in place.

He does sell them, and he made that very clear in his post. I will add that my transaction with him went smoothly, and quickly. I have NO complaints toward docofmind at all. I would recommend that anyone who may still want to purchase a set of JIC coilovers, give him a try.

This thread has been chillin' for a while, but I thought it would be a good place to ask about the NEW spring rates that JIC are using with this set. Their website shows that they now come with 12K front and 10K rear instead of the original 7K front and 8K rear. Is this correct? Did they change the valving? Has anyone tried swapping the 8K springs to the front and the 7Ks to the rear?

that's 670 & 560 lbs/in ............. sounds like their solution to their limited stroke on the rear damper problem is to raise the spring rates till you can't bottom the things out .......... nice
