Default Jet Hot coating the INSIDE of the Intake Manifold

I've read about Jet Hot coating the inside and / or outside of exhaust manifolds and headers, but I'm curious if anyone has done this to the INSIDE of the intake manifold. It seems that this would be the ultimate in reducing power loss due to heat soak. Can aluminum be Jet Hot coated?

I don't think anyone has ever attempted this simply because the coating could (in theory) come off and go inside the engine ...whereas coating the inside of an exhaust manifold does not have any repercussions.

Just my opinion.

Although not as big an issue, think about clogged catalytic.

Could become and issue with time

What is this catalytic converter that you speak of?

Is it very common for the coating to come off? I would expect that it would last virtually "forever", expecially if it will withstand such extreme temperature cycles inside an exhaust manifold. It would not have nearly the abuse inside the intake.

I think the main issue would be the restriction of the airways. People spend lots of money to polish, etc that section of the engine for performance gains - introducing some coating will probably cost more HP than it could possible make up in cooling.

I think allot of the turbo guys do it, for the opposite reason. They are trying to prevent the exhaust gases from cooling, by heating the manifold.

I found some decent info on Jet Hot's website. They briefly mention applications of coating intake manifolds, but I think they are referring to the outside, and they talk about coating BOTH the inside and outside of headers.

http://www.jet-hot.com/engin2.html

I sent them an email to ask if they recommend coating the inside of the intake.
