Jet-hot coating for aftermarket header
Looking to coat my aftermarket header - looking into jet-hot. They have 3 options - 1300, 2000 and 2500. Please advise which one to opt for? I figure 2000 is plenty good? Thanks!

The 2000 will be "plenty good" as you put it. The header should last a long time and you will help keep the under hood temps down. Now tell us, are you getting it coated BLUE? Its tuff stuff, I had my header's on my Chevy coated and after 5 years they still looked good(I did mine in gray) with no leaks.

I was hoping someone would say 1300 is adequete since I like the 1300 polished look...

2000 only has colors - I will go light gray or medium gray like you did. Blue is a little too "pronounced" under the hood for me...

I am sending in my heatshields to get coated too. I just bought an used ricks header and its used and quite tarnished. I figure the coating will reduce underhood temps and revive the manifold

I talked to jethot - He said from what he knows - s2k's push around 800 at the head. Even with 9 lbs of boost, it would be close to 1300 and said the 1300 coating would be sufficient. I am sending him pics of manifold and heat shields for him to estimate
