JDM vs USDM
one claims to have 250hp (JDM) and the US version is 240. whats the difference between the 2? anyone have any input let me know.
I blew my engine in my s2k last year and I finally came up with some funds to put a new one in. will a jdm engine slap onto a american wiring harness and all the other accesories/bolt on material under the hood?
thanks guys!

From wikipedia, starting with the 06 model:
Initially, the F22C1 was intended only for the North American market, but it was also introduced in Japan in 2006 with specified power of 242 PS (178 kW, 239 hp). Other markets continued with the 2.0 L version.

people have mentioned about the higher compression rate that the JDm engine has. I think ill just purchase the USDM one and save myself a good headache ... plus its $100 cheaper.... 4000 shipped with 35000 miles the whole long block with tranny.... anyone know if there is a better deal out there?

Ask for Jeff. He's a great guy and the owner.
You need to be careful who you deal with, especially when buying a used S2000 engine. I know of two individuals who bought engines through ebay motors who ended up with garbage - expensive garbage at that.
Good luck.
