So I blew my engine a couple months ago and finally got enough money saved up to buy a new engine. Im having a hard time finding an engine and I came across a jdm spec f20c with around 36k, now im wondering what would have to be done to run this engine in my ap1? I heard something about the vtec solenoid being swapped?? if you guys can give your two cents would be highly appreciated.

anybody running a jdm f20 in their usdm ap1? with usdm harness and ecu.

I am. It's a straight swap, everything goes right in. Just be mindful of the shifter. In LHD/RHD cars, it's angled towards the driver. So a J spec shifter in an American car will be angled towards the passenger.

Awesome but im going to use my original tranny, what octane gas do you use?

you should use 93 or 91(whatever is available in your area)...I wouldn't use anything less than 91 no matter which country the motor came from

How's the motor been running on 91 octane gas?
