Thats fine, remember your using your ECU not the JDM one( I dont even think it will work on a usdm car). So it will be fine.

My buddy runs his with crappy cali 91 all the time, and tracks the hell out of it and NEVER had piinged once

well i have the option of using the jdm ecu , but why pay more far that when i can use mine... i probably will be using 93 octane along with an octane boost with every fillup...just to be safe

he got his S a yr. after me I think, so 4 years. Bought it with a blown motor. People at the time weren't selling the motors or they were raping people with the price LoL. So he sourced a JDM motor.

So he's been running it for about 4 years now.

Why are you gonna change the VTEC solenoid?

I'm a total engine swap noob, so bear with me, but i thought the jdm ap1 motor runs at a higher compression ratio than USDM ap1. Running a usdm ecu on a jdm motor won't affect anything?

Nope it won't they say that motor has more power due to the increase in compression. But wont notice it cause you will be running your OEM ecu and the OEM settings.

It would be different for you tough cause you have the 2.2 not the 2.0. so its not a good swap for you.
