JDM motor plug and play for USDM cars?

JDM motor plug and play for USDM cars?
Before I pick up the engine, I'd like to know if it is a plug and play option. I know the JDM motor lacks a knock sensor, O2 sensor. What else? What could I possibly run into doing the swap? I know the compression is higher on the jdm motor, will the stock USDM ecu be able to manage it? or will I need an aftermarket ecu like the mugen.

vapors,
i would get the jdm ecu to go with the jdm motor. or should i say get a complete swap. that would be plug and play and prevent headaches.
why not go with the spoon or j's motor? it'll probably lag low end but you'll probably get 12k rpm.
