Jdm Motor...any Way To Visually Tell???

Dhess - I didn't look for the knock sensor to be honest. I saw the block stamp and the VTEC oil sensor and it was good enough for me. I took the part I needed and went back home. Sorry

It wouldn't be immobiliser related but like you said probably emissions related.
From what I know Japan does not have very strict emissions guidelines compared to some other countries.

My German S2000 has a F20C block stamp, not F20C-1 or something else. Does this mean I have the 247hp version? It definitely says 240hp in the registration documents, with a top speed of 240kmh.
