JDM Headlights

JDM Headlights
Any of you that have installed, or are going to install JDM headlights, might want to know a simple trick to get the sockets for the sidelamps to fit the new housings. People who have already installed JDM lamps already know, the socket on the USDM cars do not fit the sidelamps on the new JDM housings. A call to a friend who works as a service writer (previously a tech) at my local Honda dealership (also a proud S2000 owner and member of our club) shed a little insight to my problem. Using a third brake lamp socket, bulb, and wiring plug actually fit the corner light fairly well. They fit snug and seem to seat fairly well. After spending so much on these new headlamps, I would hate to try and rig or cut these new housings. The parts I used are listed below.
Qty 2 Part # 269612 Pigtail $7.95 per pc
Qty 2 Part # 454913 34906-ST5-003 Bulb $2.38 per pc
Qty 2 Part # 434904 33304-SL4-003 Socket $4.98 per pc
A small price to pay to get everything to work out fine.
Oh and by the way, why do people refer to Japanese headlights as "Euro"? The term "Euro" seems cheap and ricey if you ask me. The headlights are definitely not made in Europe or Taiwan, and APC does not import them. Just my 2 cents...
I hope this helps out anyone looking into purchasing some new lamps, or for people who already have them.
