I got a J's valve cover and the pcv valve is relocated on the top side and the inlet
is threaded and smaller than the male end. Does anyone know what size the threads are or found a kit that works other than splicing some of the hose to the engine side and rigging an adaptor?

you have an AP2 valve cover. you must not have specified ap1 when you ordered.
the ap2 cover has a thread in PCV, where as the ap1 has a push in. so id simply go buy an AP2 pCV at honda, and then pop the hose on it.
