say what you will...but letting a no honda experience tuner tune your car is like asking a mechanic to fix your computer in my eyes... that and i'm a strong believer in you pay for what you get...and seriously the setup he has should easily be worth 220rwhp. thats a diff of 8 hp...easily within the range of a shitty tune vs good tune(NA atleast FI should be way more). like i said...your tuning an 11:1 compression naturally aspirated car with someone who's used to tuning 8.5:1 or 9:1 compression turbo setups. the guy obviously did ok as his car didn't blow up and it is running at like 15-20whp over stock but a really good tune would easily make up the 8whp in my eyes.

[QUOTE=WalkingDrunken,Jan 27 2007, 10:06 AM] There are many things that could have caused this outcome.

im sure you gained more than 12whp in the midrange. dont worry about it too much, get retuned and hit the dyno again. gears are still the best bang for the buck imo.

Yeah i would take it to get retuned somewhere else, pay the money and get better results. I would also get a hondata Intake manafold gasket just to help that much more! Id say you shouldnt have any troubles breaking 230whp with the right tune!

Yea i didnt expect much from the mods...as far as the tunning goes. He did what he could and did not claim that was all i could get..None the less i thought it would have been an easy 20 whp with out any tunning. Who would be a good tunner for aem ems in socal? i use to be in the honda thing a while back now i'm getting back in to it. Then it was Church and Autowave in HB.
any reccomendations fellas?
Btw i running a mazda 4.77 final

Where did you get your car tunned at? Church is one of the best places in SoCal especially when it comes to the AEM EMS. Also on some dynos I believe like the Dyna Pac you have to let the tunner know what gear ratio you are running or else your numbers will be off.

Church is the absolute best tuner in the states.

If he can't grab the power out of that setup, seriously no one can.

Time to sell the J's Racing parts and go with a Comptech S/C.
