today when i got home from work, i decide to install this used comptech ti stb on the S. everting went smooth, quick and easy. but, after I installed it, and take it out for a quick test drive. I noticed that, there are rattle noise coming from the engine bay, especially during the 3500--5000 rpm range. but, as soon as i let go of the trottle, the noise will go away.

here is my guess?

1. the top of the STB is hitting against under the J's hood

2. the STB is hitting against the top of the comptech SC aftercooler.

3. the comptech STB is not tighten enough, which then create the rattle noise

4. just take the STB off, there is no need for it at all.

for all you guys with the same setup, please jump in on this.

It's not the STB to the hood since there's no relative motion between the two......... my guess is the STB to the intake just before the throttle body.

yeah..could be...i am going to take it out and see the difference over the weekend..
