I had (still do actually) the same Craftsman jack. This is what I did: I cut some 2X6 pieces of wood and drove the car up on them to raise it on all four wheels. You then can get the jack under the diff and front jack point. I put some duct tape (rolled in a circle) on the wood to keep them from slipping during the operation. I think I might have had to double the the wood thickness, that is double stack it. I cut a beveled edge on the wood to make it easier to drive up on.
Its a pain in the ass so I finally got a better jack.

I am able to jack anywhere along the side sill/rocker panel. I made a block that distributes the weight over the floor pan and rocker panel and has a groove to keep the lip of the rocker from bending. Pictures are in the Wash and Wax forum:

The metal in that area will bend with too much weight on it, the lift points are reinforced with an extra plate as you will notice. Use two jacks, put one under front driver side jack point, then lift the rear end and place the rear on jackstands. Then lift up the driver side enough to get a jack under the front center jack point, then lift up and put stands on the front. Reverse the same way.

I drive all four wheels up on wooden blocks 4 inches up like I said I can jack the front or rear with ease this way. Been doing this for months and can get the car on 4 stands in about 8-10 min did this with a slammed car as well.

I know it's been awhile. But I thought I would share how it all went down. Thanks for those who chimed in.
I went ahead and did this procedure. Used my big jack to jack up the whole left side and put two jack stands, then repeated the same on the right side. I had zero issues with the frame rail, and it looks like it never got molested....LOL. I used the frame rail portion right below where the side mirrors were. This basically puts it slightly towards the front, just like boyguan suggested. This makes sense since the engine/trans is right there, so its better to balance the weight of the jack slightly towards the front of the door. And for the record, this procedure is MUCH easier getting the S2000 off the ground than the traditional front and back method.

Good this worked out. BTW... you use a puck on your jack pad?

The saddle is way too small and would probably pinch the rails.
