Its cryo-Treatment Worth it?
I'm thinking about getting the 4.44 FG that I just got Cryo-treated, does it really make a difference? I know the gears come Moly-coated but I really don't know what that is, I'll appreciate all the comments...Thanks

I'm curious about this also. Is cryo-treatment a service most will find local or are there limited places that do it?

Yes Jeff does cyro treating I'm considering it now. The weakspot is the housing not the gears. Is there any value in cyroing the housing?

I would seriously advise cryotreating anything you can get your hands on. While it doesn't make the parts invincible, it does dramatically reduce wear on them and lengthen their life. Cryo treating also has the benefits of keeping heat lower than non treated parts. Any metal parts in the car benefit from this process. I've been using cryotreated brake rotors for several years now, and they have typically been the last set I've ever put on the car. I've also had it done to more than one of my rifle barrels with the same results. The guns shoot more accurately, and require less time to heat up and cool down. It has also done wonders with some of my pocket knives. The blades are stronger and hold an edge MUCH longer than untreated steel. It's a winner all the way!
