I run 100% of the time without the silencers, but I did have the shop to insert the factory resonator between the cat and the exhaust. Sounds AWESOME!! Not too loud... not too soft... YMMV

really? i'm not sure about this one. of course i have absolutely no proof of why i think this, but i swear my car feels a bit more responsive with them out.

however, in all logic my brain tells me that silencers probably do absolutely nothing noticable at all to the powerband, but what do i know?

regardless, i love my invidia with the silencers in or out! the car is VERY tame on the volume with them in - you can actually have a nice conversation with somebody in the cabin. with them out my car just sounds rediculous. i love it either way

i did however HATE the look of my silencers when i got them in. Who wants to see shiny metal sticking out of the inside of your exhaust?? i took them out and sprayed them with some flat black paint to make them a bit less noticable. come to think of it, i may spray them again real soon.
With the V3 invidia, if you are running an NA setup, the silencers will definitely give you more torque on the low end.

I have the V3 Invidia duals and I've found the sound can be very dependent on the temperature outside. When it's 70-80+ degrees outside and the top is down I can barely tell the exhaust is there. In fact I can't hear it at all over the Injen CAI in VTEC . With the top up however, and much more noticeably in colder weather <60 degrees, the exhaust is loud, droney, and borderline obnoxious. I had the silencers in for a while to control the drone when the weather was cold, but now it's not so no silencers.

hmm, i'm curious to know if there is a difference then between the invidia exhuasts? i'm not sure which version i have to be honest with you. how can i tell the difference?

dave - i was thinking of doing this too. did you take the original invidia resonator out and replace it with the stock one or did you just add on the stock resonator for a total of two? i'm curious to see what everyone is doing so i can get it done correctly.

thanks

V3 is 70mm piping - I believe the previous versions were 60mm.
