Arrow Invidia + Silencers?

so yah i just got the good ole "Excessively Loud Exhaust" ticket. Just wondering if anyone else with an Invidia has passed a Ca. dB test with the silencers. Got rid of the stock exhaust and im not really trying to pay the whole cost of the fix it ticket (although im sure ill probably have to), so the silencers are really my only hope right now. Thanks in advance.

I think It would probably pass with the silencers. If you have more than one chance to get it right, just add the silencers and let them test it. You could stuff some steel wool into the front of the silencers which would also help.
Hopefully you still have the cat converter in place.

It won't pass. (I've been in that situation) + you will still have a ticket for mod. exhaust. Invidia doesn't have CARB number. either way you're screwed.
There is no such thing as a CARB certified exhaust. Exhausts only refers to sound pollution. They test it at 75% rpm's of the peak HP. So for an AP1 it's ~ 6000 RPM. Very close to VTEC if not in VTEC.

What you can do is setup a small decent outdoor speaker pointing towards your exhaust and a microphone near the exaust and swap the speaker wires around. Sound waves should cancel out. The harder you rev the quieter it will be. Have you ever crossed sub wires in a car before?? I've always wanted to do this but too lazy. I love physics!!

Check Summit Racing they have these inverted cones that help deaden sound.
