Years ago, i noticed that the wipers at my del Sol becoming slower. I simply disassembled everything and re-greased the pivots / axles / bushings of the wiper arms and the linkage between motor and wipers. Done. Wiper was moving really fast again.
The grease wich is apllied from the factory start to become a sticky goo after 20 Years, it seems. The bushings are made of plastic, therefore i used a special grease meant for winches of sailing boats. Safe for plastics, thin and water resistent.
If you like do to this, there are very tiny C-clips wich hold the wiper axle in the bushings. You have to look closely. At least this was the way they where secured at my del Sol.
Maybe the S2ki Members wich have a spare wiper linkage laying around could take a closer look and share their findings?
