Intermittent throttle cutout ~6000 RPM
Hello all, and sorry for the long story! Thanks in advance for any incite you might provide.
I purchased a MY00 S about a month ago and everything has been great, until this afternoon - I was on my way home from work and was accelerating (engine ~5500 - 6000 RPM) when suddenly it seemed as if the throttle had cut out. RPMs immediately began to fall, and the weight transfer of the car shifted slightly forward, similar to the feeling you might get if you were hard on the gas and suddenly put the clutch in. I lifted off of the throttle, and everything seemed fine for a moment. Trying to get a better feel for the problem, I tried to accelerate again, and the exact same thing occurred at the same engine speed. I proceeded to drive home keeping the RPMs low without any problems. Thinking that the problem might be temperature dependent, near the end of my commute I accelerated one more time, and everything seemed perfect.
Does any one have any experience with this happening on an AP1? I'd really like to get to the bottom of this and sort it out asap.
Some additional background: I replaced all fluids, the air filter, and the spark plugs when I purchased the vehicle, the car currently has 71k miles on it, and all Honda recommended service is up to date.
Thanks!

That could very well be considering the cutout seems to always be around 6000 RPM. I thought I had been warming the car up enough, but perhaps not... I'll baby it a bit longer and see if that helps.
Thanks for the quick info! Somehow I missed the 6000 RPM cutoff throughout all of my FAQs reviews, etc... Yet another reason why this site is so valuable!
