It's the clutch. Something is wrong with the engaging and disengaging of the friction disc most likely causing this.

I suggest they look at it. If it's a defective pressure plate they may change it for just cost of parts.

Before they replaced the sychro, did
they tell you ahead that this parts will be replaced or just found out?

Wonder if they really replace it.

Second, you should have changed the clutch unit instead of using the old one just to narrow the problem.

I'm also questioning, if the transmission oil is the right one.
I had the same problem. My Lotus V8 is hard to engage. The original owner put a wrong gear oil. I replaced it with MT 90 - now like a butter smooth shifting & selecting.

yea when i dropped my car off at Honda they called me and told me they are going to put new syncros into the car for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gears.. I didnt want to change the clutch until now because i dont feel like any of it should come outta my pocket since the car is still under warranty but im paying for a new clutch on my own now since ive been fighting with Honda for almost a year now and its just not worth it anymore to try with them..ive also used OEM fluids everytime for the clutch bleeds and transmission flushes..Thank you for your input though
