I reckon the trans is like 100LB.

So...yeah. Not too bad to lift in sections

Getting the tranny on and off the jack while under the car wasn't to hard though so definitely worth using the jack during install.
Nice picture, definitely gives me a different perspective, any suggestion on pulling the trans off the back of the engine?

I got a quickjack now but if I would do the job again I would probably use jackstands again for the extra room on the sides.

I was thinking about the same, my friend has a pair of quickjack that I can borrow, it's easy to raise and looks more stable, but also limits the sides space, not only for the trans but also my body position as well. So maybe I should just continue using my jackstands
