Intake whistle.. Is there a real fix?

it is from the valve in teh throttle body. almost every car does it and in my experience honda's just have it more prominent. Dont thing you can get rid of it without introducing some cahnge in the induction system. aka supercharger, turbocharger,ITB's might do it or you can go crazy and go carburetor haha. It's a fact of life, why does it bother you if you hear the noise just add a tiny bit more throttle and it dissipates. I have never had it at any cruise speed only during light partial throttle acceleration

Mine whistles with the OEM box. The whistle happens at part throttle acceleration. Its dependent on the position of your idle set screw. Some cars do it...some cars don't. Depends on how the idle set screw was adjusted at the factory.
People with B series engines have found that by turning the screw counter clockwise a few twists, it helps the whistle stop. The "tighter" the screw setting, the louder the whistle will be as air moves through the partially closed idle air path.
Don't go through the idle set procedure or your idle will change. Just back the screw off a little bit at a time till your whistle stops. Its a large flathead screw located on the throttle body. The IAC will adjust its position to keep your idle where it is now.
I found this out on B series cars a LOOOONG time ago. Never said anything about it because I had no idea it was a "problem" for people.
Thats how you fix it on B series cars. Confirmed that it works that way on my ITR...not because I wanted to fix the whistle...I was trying to do something else. Never bothered to "fix" the whistle on my S2000.
I am 99.9% sure that the S2000 and ITR have the same throttle body.
