Instrument cluster flickers

Mine flickers at idle only with lights/acc on, I was told this is a common problem.

its the alternator. mine was flickering for some time and i replaced the alternator.

yes it did. no more flickering since.

its funny cause, when i tested my alternator. the test said it was still in working order.

i used the following method to test it:

X2!! Now i understand.... Because when people say "Replace the alternator" I say WTF I tested its fine....


So the test wont show.

So, I wasn't the only one with the flickering problem.
Mine is an '07 with less than 14k miles on it.
I noticed this about a month ago when I was at a red light(idling) with AC and audio ON.
I tried with AC/radio off and it still flickered.
As soon as I give some gas, it goes away though.
I haven't paid much attention since, but I'll check it tonight.
I hope it's not a bad alternator.

Same here, I have an 05' and with the ac on the cluster flickers, off it will sometimes flicker, and give it gas it will stop flickering. I wonder if I upgrade the grounding this will make a difference.

00, 88k and origional alt. mine flickers too. I will wait till it goes out to care... as obviously it isn't goin g out very quickly... i.e. i have 88k and someone with 14k is complaining of the same problem
