Does anyone have actual instructions on this?

I did mine yesterday and I used this: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/448...a-robbins-top/

It was extremely helpful but the job still took 11 hours to do. It's not easy! I needed another person to help me I couldn't imagine being able to do it by myself. Good luck!

That's also what I'm using as I have help it's just that something doesn't seem right with it. The retro straps that run back to the rain guard by the back glass just sag down and I don't think they are suppose to do that.

EDIT: They sag down with the top up

Way too much work for me. I'd rather pay to have it done.
I could see myself ending up with "extra parts". LOL

I also wrote a DIY in the FAQ: OEM Top Replacement.

I did it myself in about 8-9 hours. It was actually not really hard.

Are you doing the plastic to glass conversion or was yours already glass? The tutorial is for the conversion and the straps are needed to hold the rearmost bar in the frame forward so the glass can fold neatly. If your top was already glass and you are just replacing it with another glass one I don't think you would need the straps as the frame should already be correct and I'm thinking you could skip that step. If you are doing the conversion then keep trying... the pictures in that part of the tutorial were unclear which made installing the straps take a very long time to do.

Yeah I had a plastic top and am doing the conversion. I have the top pulled tight and the straps just sag down. I assume when the top is all the way up the straps should be tight right?

I finished mine. Honda must have elfs working in their factory. I would recommend to attach the two screws that hold the top in place at the back of the windows first. I did it last and the hardest time. I did the glass conversion to my AP1. It helps if its warmer out. Also it was hard for me to attach the back middle brace. Elfs builded this car.

I also followed the instructions in the link near the beginning of this thread. It's a pain in the ass. The install was actually pretty straightforward, but it was a pain working in the small space behind the rollbar covers. Plus I did everything on my own which I'm sure added to the difficulty of the project. It took me two days to do the install at a moderate pace (with breaks and rest inbetween). Should be a one day job with someone helping you.

Would I do the install again if I had to? I don't know. I was really frustrated at times during this install, but once it was all said and done, I was pretty happy I saved myself $600 for labor. Good luck with your project!!

if you remove the rollbars entirely it is much easier.
