I am about to install a MY04 diff into my MY06. I noticed that the 06 has a catch can for the diff vent. Will I need to swap that over or will i be fine? I just want to be sure it will not throw a CEL or cause any driveablity issues.
The MY04 diff also has 4.57 gears. I noticed there is slightly more play in them. Is this because of the gears or do they need to be reshimed? These gears also whine, could this play be the source of the whine?

Bolt and go.
I have an 06 diff in my 02. In 06 they added a catch can for the oil vent. But all in all they are all the same. The only differance is the bolt size. 00-03 is an 8mm bolt and the 04+ is a 10mm bolt.
