Installing Muz brace
I bought one used from a member here. One prob. His mechanic didnt give him the extended bolts required to install it. Its kinda hard to tell from this pic I found which bolts I need but does anyone know the size of the bolts I will need to install it? Also I read you need a allen socket to install it like the one shown in this pic. Is this true? Thanks in advance guys!!

No idea what the bolt size is...but you need an 8mm allen wrench to install the longer bolts that came with the brace.

10x1.25 not sure what length youll need. not much more than stock.
the bolts that come with the MUZ brace are cap screws (internal hex). which explains the hex socket. the stock ones are regular bolts. just get whatever you can with the right metric pitch.
btw, i found it extremely helpful to have a set of tap and die on hand and clean up the threads, internal and external. the kit i bought was used as well. you do NOT want to take any chances stripping anything. even if you just removed the stock bolts, the internal threads on the car could use some clean up from being stretched from use. any slight nick or extra bit will gall up.

Wow thanks Tyson. I'll probably have to remove the bolts to find the length then go with about 3/16"-1/4" more in length to accomodate the brace. I hope thats long enough.
Yflyer I asked Muz. He dont know the specs and dont sell the bolts seperately.
