Default installing different head

I am going to be putting together some stuff in a replacement head to put on my car, and wondering what is the best set up.

I have an ap1 head w 115k miles, into which I am going to put ap2 intake and exhaust valves, springs, retainers, and locks.

If the valve guides are all in spec, should I worry about them? or are they ok?

Anything else that is necessary/good to change while I'm doing this?

Thanks!

All you need on the intake side is AP2 Retainers and Cotters.. also add new valve stem seals and a head gasket and you'll be all set.

I would just for safe measure unless you know the head is straight have it checked.
