another person resets their CEL so the car will "run normal again" without actually finding out what the issue actually is. what if some wires got screwed up when he did the install, and the ECU was getting incorrect readings? you instead, decide to ignore the advice you're given, clear the CEL so it no longer forces your car into a limp mode, and risk possibly damaging your engine if it was more than just the O2 electrical simulator.
so be it. don't ask us for advice if you're not going to listen to it. this thread is done. people who clear a CEL because their car is in limp mode, but never actually figure out what the problem is first, are ignorant. too many people have been doing this lately. maybe you should go read the thread about the last guy who did it, and guess what. he's now out several GRAND because he needs a new engine.
