installed my toda valve springs and...
my car was overrevved through 9600 rpms a couple time for tuning and plus the rev limiter was set at 9600 also
seeing that i read about all these cracked retainers from stock s2000 i figured i should install my toda valve springs that were suppose to be sold with my cams but instead the cams were wanted not the valve springs... i gave up trying to sell these valve springs and decided to put these in for preventing valve float up top.
i took a glance at my retainers and they seem to be in good condition. i hope this will ease some of you guys who are worried about the "weak" retainers. when i get home i will cleaned them and inspect them closer and will post back

Nice to hear they were in good order. Ever since that thread I've been tempted to pull the valve cover but if I did that every time there was a scare my car would never be on the road.

I would expect stiffer valve springs to shorten the life of the retainers even further.
