installed it ....... growls like a bitch!!!! love the way it sounds. not very sure on the performance side yet as the sound just blew my mind!!

for those with the K&N:

Have you ever taken off the the lid to the airbox? How does the sound compare to that?

it sounds similar if i remember correctly. I bit more refined. IMO, you can't go wrong with the FIPK.

well... with lid just off, I could barely make out the whiny sound from it over my invidia exhaust. With K&N fipk... it's almost like a battle between intake and exhaust over which gets me to smile wider =). Just as a comparison, this intake on this car sounds nothing like the K&N intake kit I had on my eclipse gs-t. On the s2k it makes a growling sound, like it's angry.
