great # your the best of the AP1

I wonder how many miles the other AP1 have...
why are the # lower / just lower than the AP2

It would be cool if you asked the same set of question and
compared miles... mods... Daily driver...
Weekend warrior... how ofter do they change all the fluids....
what brand.. moblie 1 or?
how old are spark plugs... how old are wire... coils
have they ever done a compression test?
What kind of gas91 or 92 where from?

Maybe with all that info the car could last longer and stronger

Can't answer for the others... But:

62k Miles
Daily Driver
Change the oil @ 5k
Mobile 1 10w-30 Dino
Spark plugs are a few thousand miles old. Running OEM NGK's.
Compression test was 200psi (gauge reads low).
ALWAYS Shell 91.

to my knowledge, all the other AP1's had a fair amount of mileage. there was another ap1 that dyno'd with a single exhaust + the K&N FIPK intake that dyno'd around 188-191....so my conclusion, at least, is that it varies between car to car with how much power you make with bolt ons. from what i've seen though, test pipes definitely make at least a few horses over non test piped cars.

my ap2 had 4700 miles on it w/ aem cai v1 and i made 200 whp...
box's ap2 had 4200 miles on it w/ aem cai v1 and he made 197 whp...*shrug* about the 3 hp more i made. it could have had to do with the temperature, even though the dyno did have correction turned on. we both fill up with 91 octane shell/chevron/76 all the time and the only difference between our cars is that i broke mine in hard while he babied his for the first 3k miles. not sure if that has anything to do with it.

i walked away from the dyno day happy w/ my numbers but more or less concluded to spend my money on suspension/body mods/test pipe vs any other engine part.

my first vtec came at around 100. and i did my best to refrain myself as much as i could, but didn't regularly do it until around 500ish. either way, it wasn't babied for better or worse..

FYI 3whp difference won't be a statistically significant result. It's well within the measurement error of the equipement/operater. Doesn't mean much. Even a 5whp difference is questionable as to if it's within the measurement error. There are just too many variables that can affect the outcome.
