Default Installed Hardtop wider than pinholes

I just installed my hardtop last Saturday and noticed that the two daggarpins that lock the back of the roof were about an inch farther apart than the holes in the mounting plates. I was able to set one pin and easily squeeze the other side until it went into the hole. All other alignment went well. Has anyone had a similar problem?

All of the hardtops Ive installed were that way. They bend easily an I think it has something to do witht he way they are boxed when shipped. They are very flexible and will probably fit better after being on the car a while.

I think it's a problem when you insert one pin then try to insert the other. I think, but am not sure, that if you insert both at the same time, they line up better.

Yup, mine does the same thing. If I have it hanging in the garage on it's hoist for more than a couple of days, it seems to flex and get wider. Makes for a nice tight fit though, when its finally on.

NO! It stays folded down ready to use when you take off the hardtop.

I've never had this problem. When I installed it, I made sure all the brackets on the top was really loose. Once I got it on the car and centered it, then I tightened all the brackets. I've had the top hanging from my garage ceiling now since April and just put it on the car to wash it and Zaino it. The pins matched the holes perfectly.
