Installation- i know its not under the hood...
I saw this from the for sale section. I like it, but I looked at my e brake handle and couldnt really figure out how it would come off/swap.

Would i need to lift the entire center console out? Or would this just simply slide over the original...i think its prob more like lifting the center part, but does anyone know how hard/simple this is?
Thanks

I got one of those for my Civic a couple of years ago. Its a decent piece, has a good feel in the hand... however it works just like their shift knobs do... you have to remove the stock e-brake handle and then install this one in its place, then there are 4 allen screws that tighten down inward and pin it against the bare metal understructure of the e-brake handle. Think of how a Christmas tree stand bites into the trunk of the tree. NOTE!! this REQUIRES the use of a MOMO e-brake handle BOOT aswell. AND.. the stock handle does actually come off.... but it is an ABSOLUTE BITCH to remove. Its very very wedged on from the factory.

... if you don't get the boot, then you'll have exposed metal and understructure of the e-brake handle as it disappears into the center console.
This handle is also about 1.5 - 2.0 inches thick, so its not exactly skinny, think... Tennis racket.
Hope this helps!
