--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Having some issues with the AEM Ems, most of which have been worked out, but the startup issues have stumped a lot of the tuners here in Lexington. Here's the scoop:
If it's below freezing out, you can forget about starting the car on the AEM. I have to plug the stock ECU in, start the car and let it idle (it will die in about 10 seconds, AF reads about 19-22 to 1 on stock ecu lol), turn off the key, plug the AEM back up, and it will start and run fine.
If I have been driving more than ten minutes, I cannot turn the car off or it will not start back until it has cooled, which usually takes about an hour. This means I cannot turn the car off to fuel up, or do any type of running around town.
Basically, the car sucks as a dd until I can get these fixed. I can only start the car if it has been sitting more than an hour but less than about 6hrs.
If anyone can lend a hand, brain, or genius idea to come to a solution, I would greatly appreciate it. Or if anyone knows of the closest authorized AEM tech in the KY area (someone who knows exactly what is wrong), or even somewhere within driving distance, I would make the drive... This piece of shit that AEM calls an "engine management system" has left me hating my car. It is more of a chore to drive it than an enjoyment.

one more thing that prob has nothing to do with the EMS, heat is turned all the way up, but the car only blows hot air when there is load on the engine (ie. driving). Sucks on these cold wintry days.

Lots of reading, but you may (or may not) find your solution here. I know nothing about AEM EMS except the ppl I know that had it, don't now.

Sounds like a combination of cold and hot start table issues. Check AEM for the new coolant table if you haven't already. Check the IAT intake temps in relation to the real temperature outside as well. AEM needs an extended start up procedure, so check to see how quickly the RPM's drop after initial start up.
