Inner CV Joints
OK, this is actually a question for my 95 Accord EX 5MT, but I suspect the concept is the same for any car (including the S2000).
I'm replacing my rotors (hub over rotor design), and I wasn't paying attention when removing the knuckle. What I didn't realize is that while trying to pull the knuckle off the driveshaft/axle/whatever, I was actually moving the axle in and out about 3 inches at the inner CV joint. The boots remained intact, and everything still turns fine now... but since I don't know the inner workings of an inner CV joint, I'm concerned that I may have done some damage.
So, is it bad if you move the axle in/out 2-4 inches while the inner CV joint is still plugged into the diff/tranny? What could happen in this case?
Thanks!

Look here.
It looks to me the inner CV's are also bucket & spider type.
IMO if the boot is still ok, no problem.
